Trauma Touch Therapy in Seattle, WA - Transforming Touch®

What is Transforming Touch®?

Transforming Touch® is an attachment-focused, neurophysiological method of hands-on healing for regulating the Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Spiritual self with clients.

It offers therapy that communicates with a non-verbal system to begin to heal and repair ruptures that occurred during the developmental years of childhood.

About Transforming Touch®

Konadu Health & Wellness provides massage therapy in Seattle. Transforming Touch® is a treatment modality that follows a specific protocol which has supported healing of thousands of clients. It was developed to specifically work with and address developmental trauma. Transforming Touch® creates a milieu of safety where a client can begin to feel a difference in their life through subtle, yet profound changes. In this place of safety, the client experiences attachment focused protocols which are consistent and measured for repairing early ruptures and the consequences.

Transforming Touch® is an effective way of facilitating regulation within the client’s nervous systems. For Transforming Intentional Touch®, all the protocol and enhancements have been tweaked to work without physical touch. The power of working with intention has been expressed and shared from Healers from around the world. Some actually believe it is much stronger than using physical touch.

Even though this protocol was developed to work specifically with developmental trauma, it is safe and highly effective to use with all forms of trauma.

Quote from Stephen Terrell who developed Transforming Touch®:

"Touch, when applied appropriately, safely, and ethically, can be useful to repair attachment ruptures, promoting healthier and more accurate interoception, creating a sense of safety and connectedness, supporting better access to co-regulation and self-regulation, and repairing chronic somatic shame. Touch can help clients to identify and more fully develop appropriate boundaries and to experience a sense of agency when determining how, when, and what type of touch occurs. Touch can, in part, provide what was not received during the early developmental phases, and provide a helpful option for those clients who are open to the use of touch and somatic forms of therapy."  — Nurturing Resilience by Kathy L. Kain and Stephen J. Terrell
